We Offer Starters that are small electrical components used in traditional fluorescent lighting systems to help initiate the lamp’s ignition. They provide a brief surge of current to preheat the lamp’s electrodes, enabling the gas inside the tube to ionize and produce light. Once the lamp is lit, the starter stops conducting. Although essential for older fluorescent fixtures, starters are generally not needed in modern electronic ballast systems.
